How it began.

Beneath the Stars

I grew up surrounded by the natural world, rising with the sun and falling asleep beneath starlight on family camping trips throughout Wisconsin’s campgrounds and state parks. All my life, I’ve been open to the mystery and wonder of the planets, cosmos, past lives, and spiritual guides. This openness first guided me to astrology when I was seventeen. Ever since, I’ve been on a path of exploration, deepening my understanding of natural remedies and alternative ways of healing.

Waking up to my truth.

My Spiritual Awakening

My deepening spiritual exploration and work in these modalities was the catalyst for my spiritual awakening from 2019 to 2020, when I recognized that how I’d been living my life was completely out of alignment with what I’m called to do. It was a heart-wrenching, beautiful, magical, and devastating experience all at once. I was completely transformed, committed to breaking away from pharmaceuticals, the status quo, and everyday toxins to the best of my ability.

My journey into alternative healing modalities.

Called to be a Guide

Each modality I work in has found me just when I needed it, beginning with sound healing from Sarah Daigle in 2016. I began attending her workshops during the new and full moons. Seven years later, I trained with her to become a sound healing practitioner. Reiki found me through a flyer in a crystal shop in April 2019. I was so immediately called to it that I began training in Usui Reiki with Pamela Johnson by the end of that same month. April must be a special month for me because, in April of 2021, I purchased a Healy medical device after a psychic gifted me with a session.


After a lifetime of learning, training, and receiving from others, I decided it was time to give back, and I founded Jessica’s Guiding Light in (you guessed it) April 2022.
